Sales Consultant (Clearwater Payments)

Position Overview:

The Sales Consultant role is responsible for delivering predictable, profitable revenue generation through the sale of Clearwater Payments’ AR Automation and EBPP solution directly to medium to large-sized billers across multiple verticals in assigned territories.  Success in this area involves sourcing of opportunities through personal business development efforts with biller IT and treasury departments to sell electronic billing and payment solutions.

Duties

  • Prospecting and sales into the US targeting “billers” in the utilities, consumer finance, insurance, government, and services markets
  • Meet and exceed sales quota requirements and weekly prospecting activity targets
  • Present demonstrations and solution proposals via web/teleconference and in-person
  • Respond to requests for proposals
  • Represent Clearwater at industry tradeshows; speak/present on relevant bill pay topics at conferences
  • Manage client development through the sales stages
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and records in sales CRM
  • Determine client needs and formulate solution set and value proposition to meet requirements
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing models – with guidance and oversight by CRO
  • Document required hand-off forms and coordinate hand-off meeting with implementation team, account management and client
  • Stay current on payment industry and trends in bill payment and accounting automation
  • Work with CRO and Product to define vertical or product gaps/needs

 

Travel

Dallas Office Location or work remotely; travel as necessary.

 

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years successful sales experience with minimum 3+ years in treasury services, payment processing, business process outsourcing or bill payment industry
  • Proven contract negotiation skills

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Experience in the Treasury Management sales, electronic payment or credit card industry. SaaS sales a plus.
