The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of content marketing strategy, and content (editorial) calendars, keyword research, search engine optimization, and the creation of B2B marketing content. The person in this role is a writer at heart with a passion for all things marketing strategy.

This position reports to the Marketing Manager. The Content Marketing Manager executes content marketing initiatives that strategically align with DocuPhase’s business and marketing goals. Of critical importance is the ability to write sophisticated, high quality content that engages our buyer personas and generates leads.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Conduct in-depth content strategy, including buyer persona research and creation, competitive analysis, SEO and keyword research, Google Analytics, market research, and strategic brainstorming with the Marketing team.
  • Conduct topic research and write original content that aligns with the DocuPhase voice and style; including, long- and short-form blog posts, eBooks, whitepapers, press releases, case studies, infographics, presentations, sales collateral, video and podcast scripts and more, to be distributed across multiple marketing channels.
  • Drive content for web projects, including strategic foundation, brand messaging, web copy creation, and SEO implementation.
  • Drive on-time execution and publishing of content through your own initiative and with the help of the whole team.
  • Communicate as needed with Sales and Marketing leadership in a professional but relational manner.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Exceptional business writing skills and strong grasp of grammar and style; can visualize as well as convey a message into relevant and interesting content. Creative writing skills desired.
  • Strength in juggling multiple projects, prioritizing effectively between competing deliverables.
  • An optimistic, welcoming, and accommodating outlook; the ability to emotionally tune-in with others and remain calm and autonomous in a deadline-based environment.
  • 3+ years of B2B marketing experience including knowledge of building content calendars from scratch. Subject matter expertise in B2B industry trends.
  • Experience in Marketing for the Software industry.
  • Experience in Marketing or Writing on the subject of accounting is a plus.
  • Experience with Marketing Automation software (i.e. HubSpot) preferred.
  • Experience writing for a senior executive audience.
  • Familiarity with SEO and keyword research methods.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop & InDesign, specifically).
